Now enrolling for the winter season!
The Huyck Preserve is excited to be offering new, seasonal field-based learning experiences for homeschool students!
There is no better classroom than the outdoors! Come join Jaime Winans-Solis, Ph.D., as she leads children on a hands-on exploration of the Huyck Preserve's forests, streams and ponds. This program will focus on building ecological understanding through observation, investigation, and documentation of our discoveries, while encouraging creativity through nature art and play.
Designed for homeschool families, children ages 5-12. Caregivers are asked to stay. Preschool siblings are also welcome to register.
Please bring warm, layered clothing (including hat and gloves and rain gear if needed), weather-proof shoes/boots for hiking,
and snack with drink.
Cost for the winter program (5 classes): $75 per student for non-members, $50 per student for Preserve members
