February 28th - March 4th is National Invasive Species Awareness Week! Help us clear Asiatic bittersweet vines at Lake Myosotis and learn about invasive species management with Stewardship Coordinator Garrett Chisholm and guest bittersweet guru, George Robinson, Ph.D.
Last year’s thickest-vine competition was a hit, so we’re bringing it back! The winner of the competition won’t only get bragging rights, they’ll also receive a $15 gift card to the Kuhar Family Farm Market and Café. Will you be the one to find and cut the thickest vine? Join us to find out!
Bring your own favorite hand saw and/or loppers and work gloves. Water, sturdy shoes, and long pants/sleeves are required. Participants must be age 13 and above.
No bathrooms will be available, so please plan accordingly. Registration is required; event capped at 18 people This event is free to all. Inclement weather will cancel this event.
