Volunteer to Help with Trail Blazing

Do you love walking the trails at the Preserve? As part of ongoing upgrades to the Huyck Preserve’s trail system, we will be working on color coding the trails.  Come spend a few hours volunteering with us and leave your mark on the Preserve!

Paint blazing will be taking place on September 29, October 13, November 3, and November 10.

At the beginning of each work day, we will meet at the  Visitors’ Center (5052 Delaware Turnpike, Rensselaerville) at 10 AM. From there, we will travel to where trail-blazing work will take place that day. Come to help out on all the days or just one!

Come prepared wearing hiking boots and clothing that is weather appropriate and that you don't mind if you get paint on. Brushes and paint will be provided.
