Presentation: Citizen Science @ Huyck Preserve

6/25/2014

Our first ever Members Day was this past Saturday. As part of the day, we had the annual membership meeting with updates on the Preserve's goings-on in the past year, and then a presentation by Dawn O'Neal and Christina McLaughlin on Citizen Science Efforts at the Preserve. After the presentation was a unique guided hike with hands on research techniques to investigate the mysteries of the ancient hemlock forest led by Dr. Seth Bigelow, and to end the day members were encouraged to join us at the Palmer House Cafe for dinner before a bonfire on the lake at the end of the day.

If you are interested in the presentation, the slides are below the jump to download!
