Summer Education Programs

4/23/2014

Summer education programs are an important part of the Preserve's mission. We offer the half-day Nature Study for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade, and the all-day Natural History Day Program for children in 6th through 10th grade.

For high school students in 11th and 12th grade, our Wildlife ecology research program's final deadline for applications is May 2nd! Scholarships and financial aid are available for this unique, college-level ecology field research course.

Nature study students receive a gift!

Thanks to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), students in this summer's Nature Study programs will receive a copy of the "Critters of New York Pocket Guide" to take home with them at the end of the week. This handy little book is designed for children and includes pictures and information on more than 50 New York Animals, as well tips for how to use field guides and identify animals in the field.
